Jennings jumps to success at Myerscough

  • Cumbrian riders made a clean sweep in Myerscough International Arena’s winter grade C claiming all three tickets.

Penultimate-drawn Nicky Jennings was delighted to win with Larino, just 0.21sec ahead of her pupil Rachel Walker, 19, on Tanon. The final ticket went to 17-year-old Coral Mowbray, riding Corinthos. Coral also took the warm-up class with her Foxhunter finalist Silvester VII.

The Christmas show included a good power and speed class. Nicky Jennings boosted her winnings by £150 on her 2004 Foxhunter runner-up Sky Classic. Her closest rival was young rider Sarah Needham on Tom Brewster’s Kingston II.

The accumulator was won by Georgina Hilton, riding her Scope Festival champion Clover Magic, ahead of Liz Wrennall and Connells Hill Lady.
