Consistent show jumper China Drum dies from colic

China Drum, a consistent show jumper with Nicky Boutler, died last Thursday (12 June) following a bout of colic.

The 16-year-old made the top 200 show jumpers with Nicky and was ridden by several top riders including Stuart Harvey and Simon Crippen.

For the last few years China Drum was competing at amateur level with owner Sarah Forbes from Farnham, Surrey. The pair reached the KBIS British Equestrian Amateur and Veteran Championships at Arena UK this year and have won a large amount of prize money on the amateur circuit.
