Miniature mares win big prizes at HOYS

  • Despite being less than 91cm in height, the miniature horses certainly made their presence felt in the international arena at the Horse of the Year Show this afternoon. A line-up of eight miniatures paraded around the arena, the winners and runners-up of the four classes held this morning.

But ultimately it was Ujenix Extasys Apline Boy who caught the judge’s eye to become this year’s Miniature Horse of the Year. The two-year-old palomino filly is by Little Kings Double Extasy and was bred by Ujenix International.

MH Apollo, a black mare took the reserve champion prize. She qualified for HOYS with a win at the East of England Show and is by Winners Circle.
