Timmy Murphy has been jailed for six months for indecently assaulting an air hostess
Jump jockey Timmy Murphy has been jailed for six months for indecently assaulting an air hostess and being drunk on board an aircraft.
The 27-year-old Irishman pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Isleworth Crown Court in West London.
Murphy was sentenced to six months for assaulting the stewardess on a Virgin Flight from Tokyo on April 14. He was flying home after riding in a race in Japan.
He was also given three months for being drunk on board an aircraft. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Murphy, rated among the most talented National Hunt riders in Britain, had been first jockey to the powerful Paul Nicholls stable until this incident.
