Hayley Turner becomes first British woman to ride 100 winners in a year
Jockey Hayley Turner has ridden her way into the record books this week becoming the first woman in Britain to ride 100 winners in a calendar year.
The 25-year-old’s 100th win of the year came aboard 7-1 shot Mullitovermaurice in a claiming race at Wolverhampton yesterday (Tuesday 30 December).
Earlier in the afternoon she won her 99th race on Newlyn Art at Lingfield before heading to the Midlands to complete her century.
