Two new toll rides in the West Midlands

  • Toll Rides (Off-Road) Trust (TROT) has teamed up with the National Trust to offer two new pay-to-ride routes in the West Midlands.

TROT offers more than 100 off-road riding routes across privately owned land for a membership fee or on a one-off basis.

The new 10-mile routes go across the National Trust’s land at Brockhampton in Herefordshire and Dudmaston near Bridgenorth.

Chrissy Bacon, West Midlands development officer for TROT said: “Riding on the roads is becoming ever more difficult with increasing volumes of traffic. Some country lanes are “no go” areas for horse riders.

“TROT aims to solve these difficulties by opening up the countryside but leaving the landowner in control of who has access to the land and at what times.”
