Riders plan protest at A9 crossing point

  • Riders campaigning for a safe crossing at a section of dual carriageway being built in Inverness-shire (news, 3 March) are planning a series of protests to block the road.

The protests will begin on 20 April in the form of walking and riding along an 800m stretch of the A9 at Etteridge, delaying traffic.

Campaigner Ruaridh Ormiston claims that this is what Transport Scotland are expecting riders and walkers to do to cross the dual carriageway.
