Redwings Horse Sanctuary installs mirrors for rescue horses

  • Mirrors are to be installed in all the stables at Redwings Horse Sanctuary after successful trials proved their calming effect on horses.

All eight of the charity’s sites will now have special toughened acrylic mirrors installed following six months of trials at its reception centre in Norfolk.

Nicola Markwell of Redwings said: “We had a couple of horses in quarantine for a few months. They were getting bored and the mirrors worked brilliantly.”

The Stable Mirror Company based in Windsor, Berkshire, has donated the mirrors for free.
