Olympia’s dance of the riding clubs

  • This year’s finalists include several established campaigners, as well as some new faces.

West End Riding Club’s team includes the 30-year-old 14.2hh Sundance Kid, owned by Sally Bullar. This partnership also competed in the club’s winning team in 1997.

Sally says this year’s programme – a selection of music from Grease – is an upbeat collection.

“We have two new members and their horses rarely compete, so we thought we’d abandon the pure dressage and go back to simply enjoying ourselves. We were staggered when we qualified for the final!”

Saffron Walden Riding Club, winner in 1998 and runner-up last year are returning to the final once again. This year’s theme is the Knights of the Round Table on their quest for theHoly Grail.

Faversham and District presents a programme based on four characters from the Wizard of Oz and Reigate continues the film musical theme with the fairground scene from Mary Poppins.
