New York Santa gets a parking ticket while handing out presents
A Santa in New York has been given an early Christmas present this year — a parking fine.
The Santa, known the rest of the year as Chip Cafiero, was sitting in a horse-drawn carriage handing out presents when the traffic warden gave him the ticket for his car.
The vehicle — which was carrying all Santa’s presents — was double parked to protect his horses from the traffic.
Despite Santa’s, and the children’s, protestations the warden slapped him with a $115 (£77) fine.
