New fly rug kills irritating flying insects on contact
With spring weather hopefully not too long away, Kadence Equiwear has come up with a new concept in fly protection.
The Flug total protection fly rug is impregnated with an insecticide that kills flies on contact.
The rug is coated with a permethrin and tetramethrin spray, which can be replenished every 30 days or as required.
The manufacturers stress respraying should only take place when the rug is off the horse.
As well as killing off buzzies, the soft-mesh, deep-sided rug has improved leg straps, quick-release chest clips and a tail flap with gusset.
It is also machine washable.
Flug will be available from Countrywide stores from February.
