Loose horse on motorway causes traffic chaos
A horse caused traffic chaos early this morning (13 February) when a loose horse escaped onto a motorway in Lancashire.
The horse had escaped from a nearby field onto the M55 near junction 4, for Blackpool, at 5.40am.
Part of the motorway was closed while the horse was captured.
A spokesman from Lancashire Police told H&H: “Two vehicles were in a road traffic accident this morning when they collided while trying to avoid the horse.
“Police secured the horse to a nearby railing and notified the owner, who picked up the horse at 6.50am.”
