A horse called Tequila had to be rescued by firefighters earlier this week after stumbling into a swimming pool.
Tequila escaped from a field near Chelmsford Road in White Roding, Essex on Wednesday (10 February).
Firefighters donned life jackets to help extract the horse.
Sub officer Doug Reed from Leaden Roding Fire Station said: “The horse had escaped from its paddock and had managed to fall into the swimming pool. The cover was on the pool at the time and the horse became trapped in the water.
“Crews drained the pool of water, then placed bales of straw in the empty pool to help rescue Tequila.”
The 30-year-old horse was checked by a vet and is now recovering at home.
