Horse enthusiasts petition 10 Downing Street

  • Two horse-related petitions have been started on the 10 Downing Street website.

The first asks for police to pay more attention to equestrian-related crime (petitions.pm.gov.uk/horsecrime).

The second calls for the Prime Minister to introduce a mandatory 30mph speed restriction on narrow country lanes except where a lower speed limit is required (petitions.pm.gov.uk/countrylanes).

Marilyn Ross Kinister, who set up the police petition, told H&H: “When all my tack was stolen, the police didn’t even attend. Thousands and thousands of pounds worth of equipment are being taken, and the police are doing nothing.”
