The RSPCA is looking for a new home for 3 foals that have become good friends after being rescued this October.
Oscar (pictured right) was found tethered to a telegraph pole in a field in Leicestershire, so tightly he could not reach the ground to eat. The foal he came in with died, but he has made a full recovery.
A couple of weeks later Davey (pictured top) was found abandoned in a field in Bedford along with another foal, which had to be put to sleep.
The third foal, Charlee (pictured below), was found dumped with his emaciated mother on a roadside near Ashby-de-la in Leicestershire.
The trio have been dubbed, The Three Amigos, by RSPCA staff at the stables in Warwickshire, where they are being cared for.
Polly Underwood, equine inspector for the RSPCA said: “They have only been in our care for a short time but they have flourished. They are 3 playful, cheeky, wonderful little chaps with a really bright future ahead of them.
“We would like foster homes for them together or would consider the right permanent home. It would be ideal to find someone with experience of bringing on foals because they do require a lot of time and attention which requires someone with the knowledge.”
If you can offer a foster, or permanent home to 1 or all of the 3 Amigos, contact the RSPCA.
