Former eventer dies at 51
His many friends have been saddened to hear of the death of the Earl ofCottenham at the age of 51.
Charlie Cottenham was a popular figure on the British three-day event circuit inthe late 1970s and represented Britain abroad, as well as completing Badmintonand Burghley several times.
He gave up competing after his wife, Sarah, suffered a bad fall. An all-roundsportsman, he was also a notable fast bowler and played cricket forNorthamptonshire Second XI.
