Equine charity The Brooke opens United States base

Equine charity The Brooke has opened a fundraising base in the US, to capitalise on its sizeable network of American supporters.

The charity, which helps working animals and their owners in developing countries, last week opened an office in Kentucky.

Chief executive Petra Ingram said: “Americans have a close affinity of horses and are exceedingly generous to the poor, so we believe this will be an excellent partnership.”
