Equicruiser factory narrowly escapes fire damage

  • Horsebox manufacturers Equicruiser narrowly escaped damage to its factory last week after a neighbouring plant caught fire.

Fire crews were called to Highfield Industrial Estate, Lasham, Hampshire, on Friday (26 August) to douse a fire at a battery recycling plant.

A team of 75 firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue tackled the blaze.

Equicruiser staff evacuated its premises and the factory was unscathed.

Cliff Evans from Equicruiser said: “It’s with thanks to the quick action by the fire brigade that our factory remained largely untouched. We are back open for business.”
