On 13 May 2015 we published an article titled ‘Event rider was wearing substandard body protector when he died, reveals inquest’.
The article originally included an archive photograph of the rider involved, Jordan McDonald, in which Jordan was wearing a Point Two jacket. Point Two contacted us because they were concerned that the use of the photograph was misleading. We would like to clarify that the picture was used purely to identify the rider and there was no association between the Point Two jacket Jordan was wearing in the photo and the headline or the content of the article. Jordan was not wearing a Point Two jacket during the accident in which he died, and we would like to apologise for any confusion that may have been caused.
