Ben Maher and Cella are world’s top SJ pair
Ben Maher and the grey mare Cella are the number 1 showjumping pair in the world.
Ben and his European Championship partner have topped the FEI’s combination rankings for 2013.
Jane Forbes Clark’s mare, by Cento, picked up a total of 1,718 points in an exceptional year. The grey helped Ben secure individual silver and team gold at the European championships. They also won the London leg of the Global Champions Tour.
Last September Cella’s success helped Ben to lead the Longines FEI World Showjumping Rankings for the 1st time in his career.
Germany’s Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman came 2nd with 1,675 points. The 3rd best combination is world number 1 Scott Brash and Hello Sanctos with 1,620 points.
