Hunting code of conduct online

  • The Independent Supervisory Authority on Hunting now has is own website at www.isah.org.uk

The site includes a code of conduct for hunting, which explains the responsibilities of hunt staff and followers.

The ISAH also outlines its areas of work, which include reviewing hunt monitoring procedures, reporting on incidents and commenting on the hunting associations’ disciplinary procedures. Since the last season, the organisation, which regularly visits kennels, also started making field visits to monitor the hunts.

The commissioners, led by Sir Ronald Waterhouse, and including Campaign for Hunting chairman Sam Butler, who has been co-opted onto the ISAH, are now working on the development of a protocol for the supervision and regulation of hunting. The authority hopes to offer an independent way of monitoring the sport which would satisfy both members of the ISAH and outside parties.
