Horse & Hound is expanding its hunting coverage for the 2010/2011 season.
Besides our regular visits, we will have new reports with a twist. A hapless hunting correspondent will be charged with keeping up with some hunting field greats, to discover how much nerve and horsemanship it takes (see p18 of this week’s issue).
We will be repeating our experiment with the Exmoor last season, and finding out how far hounds run by again fitting some with GPS devices.
We will also challenge regular followers from very different countries to a “country swap” to tell us how different their experience has been.
Finally, on 11 November, we begin our new weekly winter series celebrating a “Thruster of the week” scrutinising the verve, valour — and X-rays — of some of the boldest riders of the winter equestrian scene.
