Find out which horses and riders enjoy the most successful 2002 eventing season with British Eventing’s top 100
Top horses
This year’s most successful event horse was the charismatic grey gelding Shear H20, owned by Shearwater Insurance and Jeremy and Susan Lawton.
Ridden by Leslie Law, Shear H2O represented Britain at the World Equestrian Games where he finished 18th individually, but the highlight of the partnership’s season was third place at Badminton.
Shear H2O gained 303 points during 2002, nine points more than second placed Tamarillo, ridden by William Fox Pitt, and 39 points more than Pippa Funnell’s Supreme Rock.
