Weston Park calls for new sponsor

  • Weston Park Horse Trials is searching for a new title sponsor for 2002

Weston Park Horse Trials, which takes place at the home of the Earl of Bradford on 19-21 April, is looking for a new title sponsor after losing the support of Pedigree Petfoods.

“Pedigree has been a great supporter of eventing and many organisers and riders have benefited from their support over the years,” says Weston Park Horse Trials honorary event organiser and cross-country course designer, Janet Plant.

This long-running event was first established in 1978 and takes place in nearly 1,000 acres of wooded parkland. It is popular choice for top riders in the run-up to Badminton, attracting many international partnerships.

This year’s event will include novice, intermediate, junior open intermediate, advanced intermediate, advanced and young rider advanced sections, and will be the first event to test the new frangible fences at advanced, intermediate and novice levels.

“After last year’s disastrous competition calendar due to FMD, we are determined to make Weston Park a success and help put eventing back on track,” explains Janet.
