Scotland to host first three-star CCI event


  • Blair Castle will become Scotland’s first three-star CCI event in 2003

    Blair Castle international horse trials will upgrade to a three-star CCI next year, becoming Scotland’s only event at that level.

    Director Sarah Phillips said: “This is a real step up the ladder for us. It’s where every event wants to be and is just reward for the team for all the hard work in making a professional, well organised event.”

    On behalf of the sponsors for the past seven years, chief executive Mikek Keiller said that Morrison Bowmore Distillers was delighted to support the event to the next level of competition.

    Ronald Alexander, the event’s course-designer, said:”This has been an ongoing discussion for a while and we are some way down the line with the design of a new course, so it is now a question of preparing the take-offs and landings. If we had the machinery we could start digging today.”
