- Parklane Hawk’s damsire was the thoroughbred Brilliant Invader, a successful racehorse sire who also sired top-class showjumpers and eventers, including Blyth Tait’s 1996 Olympic champion Ready Teddy and Wendy Schaeffer’s 2010 Adelaide four-star winner Koyuna Sun Dancer.
- He was produced to three-star level in New Zealand, by Matthew Grayling.
- He won on his first attempt at four-star, at Burghley 2011, despite William having an error of course in the dressage.
