    Jeanette Brakewell has become synonymous with the great chestnut Over To You, with whom she represented Britain at eight championships in a row. Together they won eight medals, making Over To You the most medalled eventer of all time.

    Jeanette and Over To You were individuals at the 1998 European Championships. They went on to win four team golds at Europeans (1999, 2001, 2003, 2005), an individual silver and team bronze at the Jerez World Equestrian Games in 2002, plus team silver at two Olympics (2000 and 2004).

    Together they were also placed at Badminton seven times, setting a record for completions at the event by a horse and rider combination, and equally Ballycotton’s record for number of completions by a horse. Their best result was third in 2003.

    Over To You retired from three-day eventing at Badminton in 2007, aged 19, and from the sport in 2008.

    Jeanette Brakewell was born in 1974 and is based in Staffordshire with her partner, Australian rider Brook Staples.
