The FEI eventing rankings are being dominated by British riders, with Pippa Funnell leading on 455pts. Hot on her heels is William Fox-Pitt (389), with Australia’s Philip Dutton just 10pts behind in third.
Pippa has been enjoying a tremendous 2003 season, which has included CCI**** wins at Lexington in America and Badminton. William has moved up from third to second place in the rankings following his win in the CCI*** at Luhmühlen, Germany.
The rankings reflect the strength and depth of talent within the British eventing squad with Leslie Law (4th), Jeanette Brakewell (9th) and Tina Cook (10th) all inside the top 10. A further three British riders, including Mary King, are inside the top 14, which means the Britain presently hold more than 50% of the top positions.
