Northern regional dressage championships


  • Darryl Thickitt was the man to beat at the Northern regional championships with wins in the Stellar Wealth Prix St Georges (PSG) and Dodson & Horrell Novice at Frys on 30 July-1 August.

    Darryl partnered Rex to PSG victory, hile his other win came on the stallion Urban Hit.

    David Oakley also completed a double, taking the NFU Prelim and Dodson & Horrell Novice Restricted on his own Alexis Adermie.

    Laura Fry and Riesling won the Bates Intermediaire I from stable-mate Mozart.

    Julie Yardley took the Biotal Equine Gold Medium Open despite making a couple of mistakes with Donnatella III.

    Amanda Blundell’s Gorgious kept the flag flying for the British breeder with a win in the N.E.W Equine Wear Elementary Open, while Tracy Arnold’s Friesian horse Feye, tirumphed in the restricted.

    Jess Parr took the Biotal Equine Gold Medium Restricted on her Dutch-bred DHI Pierrot.

    Lucy Bulmer and Opsylon stole the Saracen Horse Feeds Advanced Medium from under the nose of long-time leader eventer Ruth Edge on Muschamp Impala.
