Jane Goldsmith becomes top para-equestrian judge

  • Para-equestrian dressage judge and trainer Jane Goldsmith has attained the highest classification of judging.

Jane has been upgraded to FEI 5* judge status — the highest level of judge classification available.

She only started judging in 2005 and combines this with training.

“I’m surprised and flattered,” said Jane. “I never set out to become an ‘O’ [highest level] judge, yet here I am.

“It would be very special to judge in London at the 2012 Paralympics, I’d love to be involved in any way.”

British Dressage chief executive Amanda Bond added: “This achievement is more than deserved.

“Jane has been a leading figure in para equestrian dressage not only in the UK but worldwide and she will be a tremendous asset to the FEI”.
