Carl Hester wins at Saumur CDI with Liebling II

Carl Hester won the grand prix special at Saumur CDI, France (26-28 September) riding Liebling II having taken over the ride from Anna Ross-Davies three weeks ago.

He scored 71.16% to head the special, having finished third in the grand prix on 70.125% (full report next week).

“It’s a credit to Anna and the horse’s training that I’ve been able to get these results,” said Carl. “I went for a clear round in the grand prix and turned on the gas for the special — he was a dream machine.”
