Scottish winter dressage regional championships


  • Ruth Edge dominated the Scottish winter regionals, winning the Biototal Equine Gold Medium Open, Teviot Elementary Open, and Equissage Elementary Freestyle with Paper Tiger. Ruth finished her weekend by winning the Blue Chip Open Novice on Shadowfax.

    Jill Grant won the Speedi-Beet Advanced Medium on Solitaire. Hannah Guild and Ridinghill Gold won the medium restricted and was second in the medium freestyle. Hannah Brown, 15, won the elementary restricted on Spectrum.

    Catherine Eardley took the NAF Prix St Georges Freestyle on Woodlander Chopin. Clare Williams triumphed in the novice restricted on Parnassus, was also second in the novice freestyle and third in the elementary freestyle.

    Jennifer Murtagh won the Nupafeed Advanced Medium Freestyle, and finished a commendable second in the medium restricted, on her Fell pony Lindisfarne Drummer.

    Corrina Wyse and Riva won the medium freestyle comfortably and finished second in the elementary freestyle. Jo Barry took the Baileys Horse Feeds Novice Freestyle with Vivaldi V and finished second in the advanced medium with Mibikus.

    Louise Richards and Hampton’s Ace took the Elevator Prelim from Elspeth MacDonald riding Oran Mor.
