RC members tackle endurance challenge


  • The riding clubs endurance championship takes place on Sunday 25 August as part of the NDS Alfred’s Tower Endurance ride

    The NDS Alfred’s Tower Endurance ride, a 146 km FEI CEI*** takes place over the weekned of the 24 – 25 August with Riding Club Championships featuring on Sunday.

    Introduced five years ago, this class has gone from strength to strength and now attracts teams from all over England.

    Riddenover a distance of 30kms at a speed of between 9 and 13 kph, the optimum speed is 11kph, which earns the maximum 100 points. In the event of a tie, winners are decided on final pulse

    Many team members compete at endurance rides beforethis event to gain experience of riding the distance at the required speed.
