Death of life-long hunt supporter


  • Life-long hunt supporter Frank Middleton died on Thursday 20 Sept aged 80.

    Mr Middleton was chairman of the British Field Sports Society for Kent for 10 years in the 1980s and 90s and was very much involved in hunting, having whipped-in for the Brighton and Storrington Beagles in the ’60s.

    Then, with various of his children, he followed the Crawley and Horsham and the Ashford Valley, and was chairman of the Wye College Beagles for about 25 years.

    He was a life member of the South of England Show, a life member of the Kent Agricultural Society and was head steward of horses at the Kent County for many years.

    He and his wife Jessica retired to Worcestershire eight years ago.

    There will be a service of thanksgiving at St Peter’s Church, Stoke Bliss, Worcestershire at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 2 October.
