Beagles stolen from hunt kennels

  • Thieves have stolen two hounds from the Pimpernel Beagles kennels.

The Beagles, three-year-old Raven and one-year-old Saucy, both bitches, were taken from the kennels at Peter Fingers Farm, near Salisbury which was securely locked when the theft occurred at midday on Friday 27 April.

The theft was discovered by Robin Clarke, one of the joint-masters as he went to feed the hounds.

Alison Hawes, Southern Press Officer for the Countryside Alliance said: “We do not know who was responsible for this theft, but every effort is being made to find the Beagles and return them to their rightful owners.

“These hounds are used to living in a kennel environment with the restof the pack and will be stressed at being removed from their familiar surroundings.”

Anyone with any information should contact Salisbury police (tel: 01722 411444).
