Bramham Horse Trials celebrates 35 years under new director

  • Debora Homewood has stepped up to the position of director at Bramham Horse Trials (5-8 June) as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary. Debora was the event’s secretary last year.

Harry Verney was previously Bramham’s director, holding the post from 2004 until 2006. Last year the event was run jointly by Debora and Tim Hadaway, who will continue to hold a consultant position, specialising in the event’s more technical aspects.

A brand new website has been launched to celebrate the anniversary at www.bramham-horse.co.uk. Other new developments include a double-decker hospitality marquee at the southern end of the West Arena offering a bird’s eye view of the event action.

Debora said: “I’m honoured to start my first full year as Event Director in such a special year. Bramham Park is full of 300 years of special history and I hope to open a new chapter in the event’s story.

“I realise how special the competition is to the Lane Fox family and relish the challenge to build on the event’s strong reputation. I really want to bring the excitement of Bramham International Horse Trials to the neighbouring cities of Leeds, York and Harrogate and beyond and show them what the countryside has to offer.”
