European Pony Championships survive storm damage

  • There will be no change of venue for next month’s European Pony Championships (19-22 July) after part of the site was destroyed by lightning.

The strike at Freudenderg, Germany, on 9 June resulted in several buildings at the venue being razed to the ground.

But representatives from the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) have since inspected the facilities and are happy that the championships can go ahead.
