With winter well on its way Blue Cross is at bursting point. Due to the horse welfare crisis the majority of horses that come into the centre are in terrible condition and unhandled, as a result it can take months to rehabilitate them.
Mario arrived to the centre very thin, his matted coat was infested with lice and his feathers were burnt away due to standing in horrific conditions. After just five months of love and care this sweet natured chap was barely recognisable.
If you are able to take on a horse at the early stages of its training you will free up a space for one of the thousands of horses in need. Please visit our website to see the horses that are currently in need of homes www.bluecross.org.uk.
