Champions of Scotland

  • Paul Barker took the top three spots, including the two places in the final at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), in the Horse & Hound Foxhunter second round at Champions of Scotland.

Seventeen went clear in the first round, but only four reached the final barrage, leaving Andrew Millin as the only rider who had a chance of heading Paul to the HOYS tickets. Unfortunately a disagreement turning into the second fence meant that Andrew and Sarola I missed out.

Paul produce the sole treble clear with Amira II to win the class, ahead of Temple Tamability and Amadeus V.

Tickets in the HOYS Grade C went to Louise Saywell on Cyprianus Z, Emily Davies with Cougar II and Simon Buckley riding Worrior Van Dingeshof.

Mercaddes McDonald and Ramzes II produced the only clear round in the Young Showjumper Award to take the title, ahead of Holly Haig and Parisienne who picked up just one time-fault.
