Kerrygold, the Irish dairy board, is extending its support of international show jumping to include the Irish National Show Jumping Grand Prix League
The Kerrygold National Grand Prix League is expected to attract the best of Ireland’s national and international riders at 32 shows throughout Ireland from May to September
Show Jumping Association of Ireland (SJAI) chairman Tony Hurley said: “Young Irish riders use the National Grand Prix League as a stepping-stone to international level competitions. Dermott Lennon is a prime example, who progressed quickly from national Grand Prix level to become a household name on the world stage.”
Ireland’s ability to produce young riders who can hold their own at international level ensures their national team remains a force to be reckoned with as the World Equestrian Games approach.
“Kerrygold’s latest initiative will support show jumping throughout Ireland and encourage young stars to fulfil their ambition to jump for Ireland in future World and Olympic Games,” said Irish Dairy Board’s managing director Noel Cawley.
The new sponsorship continues Kerrygold’s long standing support of international show jumping, which includes events such as the Hickstead Derby, the Millstreet World Cup and the Kerrygold Horse Show.
