Paschal High Flyer is BSPS supreme champion 2009
Brogan Taverner and Paschal High Flyer brought the curtain down on the British Show Pony Society’s 40th summer championships in fine style.
After clinching the Vale (UK) premier league overall supreme title earlier in the evening, the pair retained their sparkle to produce another stunning performance, and they were the choice of Allen King to stand BSPS Timberwolf supreme champions.
“He is a very, very elegant horse and he was well ridden. They gave a lovely show,” said Allen.
Paschal High Flyer is jointly owned by Hazel and Sheila Broom, and the Kizar seven-year-old took the 2008 intermediate championship for Martin Skelton at Horse of the Year Show last October, and he was a winner at the Royal International for Brogan this summer. “He was really on song tonight” said Brogan.
Taking the reserve Timberwolf supreme was four-year-old Victoria Dymond riding Okewood Delightful. The mannerly lead rein pony had clinched the Sculpture to Wear Pretty Polly (home-produced) title earlier in the week, and she again combined movement and manners under the spotlights.
