Will Harry be the youngest HOYS rider ever?

  • Harry Edwards-Brady will be making his debut at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) later this week (Oct 9-13) at just 3 years of age.

Having qualified 2 of his ponies for the championship show, Harry will be riding Moortown Divine in the mountain and moorland (M&M) lead-rein of the year final and Gryngallt Page Too in the lead-rein pony of hunter type class.

Harry, of Hatherleigh, Devon, qualified Moortown Divine at Royal Norfolk show. The 4-year-old Dartmoor, bred by John and Diane Jordan, is on loan to Harry for 2 years before she returns to the stud for breeding.

Harry’s other ride, Gryngallt Page Too (pictured right), was bred by Lesley Hillard in Wales and also launched his showing career at the beginning of the season. The Welsh section B, who is currently being produced by Debbie Thomas, qualified at the Great Yorkshire show.

“I think I’ll probably be leading the youngest combination in both classes,” said Harry’s mother Emma. “Harry’s really excited now. Although he’s only 3, I think it’s sunk in that it’s quite an important show!
