  • Champion filly Petrushka has been sold to Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley Stud by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing for over $5million (£3.5million).

The four-year-old, who was trained by Sir Michael Stoute, was retired from racing last month after suffering a tendon injury in the Vodafone Coronation Cup at Epsom.

The daughter of Unfuwain became champion three-year-old filly last year when she won three group one races. She was bred by Airlie Stud and is a half-sister to Spectrum, sire of Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner Golan.
