Zara Phillips and Musto launch new equestrian collection
Zara Phillips has launched a new collection of equestrian wear with clothing company Musto.
The ZP ‘176’ Collection was launched yesterday in London, and Musto says it combines “key lifestyle trends and technical necessities”.
The collection is branded 176, in line with Zara’s British Eventing number.
Zara has been involved in the entire creation of the collection, from design right through to development and testing of the products.
“I’ve been wearing Musto all my life which started with the sailing range,” said Zara.
“I wear Musto all the time while training and competing. It’s brilliant for keeping me warm and dry. I’m really excited about the ZP ‘176’ Collection; it combines technical fabrics with equestrian sport styling for jackets that really perform.”
Chief executive Nigel Musto added: “Zara’s own equestrian range for Musto really takes the relationship to the next level. Zara has been heavily involved with the product designs, rigorously testing each garment ensuring she is happy with the style and fit. She is a dedicated and extremely successful horsewoman and is a natural fit with the brand.”

The collection includes a stylish and sporty soft shell jacket with a soft fur pile inner. It is showerproof, windproof and breathable with articulated sleeves, a two-way zip and scooped hem.
There is also a lightweight, waterproof, windproof and breathable training jacket, with insulating fleece lining and zipped fleece-lined pockets and a wadded gilet, which is lightweight with insulating polyester wadding, a funnel neck lined with microfleece and a chin guard.
Other items in the collection include a ZP ‘176’ technical fleece-lined jacket, ZP ‘176’ hooded top, a flattering and functional zip neck fleece and a long sleeved tech tee.
Visitors at Gatcombe Horse Trials will be able to view the new collection on the Musto stand, and more detail on products within the range are available in today’s Horse & Hound.
