Two-month-old foal stolen in Stockton-on-Tees

  • A two-month-old mini Shetland pony foal has been stolen from a field in Stillington, Stockton-on-Tees.

The foal (not pictured) was last seen by its owner on the evening of Wednsday June 25 and is believed to have been taken that night or in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The owner, who doesn’t wish to be named, said: “I searched high and low in the field, walking the full length of the beck.

“The mare keeps looking at the gate. I reckon someone put it in a van and took it away.”

The foal is a bay with white back legs and a white flash in its tail and is no more than 20 inches high.

The owner who has 31 ponies said this has never happened before and urges anyone who knows anything or may have seen the pony to call Stockton police on 01642 607114.
