Quorn senior joint-master Joss Hanbury was admitted to hospital with a severe neck injury after a heavy fall while hunting with the Quorn on Monday, 28 January, near Old Dalby.

Joss, also well known as a leading team chase rider, suffered the fall over a timber fence and was taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Hospital, Nottingham, where he was admitted for surgery.

Joss has been joint master for 10 years, and served six years in a previous Quorn mastership.
