Horse killed in car collision in Cleveland
A horse has been killed after being hit by a car on busy main road in Cleveland last night (9 December).
It was one of four horses that had escaped onto the A19 at Elwick, near Hartlepool.
A spokesman for Cleveland police said: “The accident happened at about 10.30pm after four horses were running loose on the road. We do not know where they escaped from but are looking into it.”
