  • Jockey Frankie Dettori has been ruled out for the rest of the season after fracturing his ankle in a fall at Nottingham on Wednesday (2 October).

Frankie was initially thought to have only sprained his ankle after being unseated from Eland Ally before the 5f handicap. But he was taken for an x-ray after remaining in discomfort for some time after the race.

This means that Frankie will no longer partner leading Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe contender Treve at Longchamp on Sunday (6 October).

Thierry Jarnet will replace him on the Criquette Head-Maarek-trained filly.
