Equimins launches Glow and Shine Omega Oil
A new supplement that claims to promote a healthy heart and joints as well as making a horse’s coat shine and eyes bright has been launched by Equimins.
Glow and Shine Omega Oil is a blend of cold pressed oils from natural vegetarian sources.
The oil is a valuable source of omega 3, 6 and 9 and can add calories to the horse’s diet in an easily digestible way.
Omega 3 has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help maintain healthy joints. And Omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids can help to reduce cholesterol, maintain heart health, joint mobility and brain function.
According to Equimins, Glow and Shine Oil has been “designed to promote good health, shiny coat, bright eyes, strong teeth, bones and hooves”. It also contains vitamin E with “anti- oxidant properties that can help to protect cells against free radicals.”
Equimins managing director David Willey added: “Glow and Shine Omega Oil contains linseed oil, soya oil and rape seed oil and provides a sustainable source of omega 3 in contrast to marine oils which are becoming more scarce. We believe it is also a more natural way of feeding a horse than marine oils.”
Glow and Shine Oil is available in 2.5 litres and 5 litres.
