The Countryside Alliance has issued an updated version of its Case for Repeal, setting out why the Hunting Act is flawed – and why it believes it should be abolished.
The document, first published in 2007, includes new quotes – most notably, Tony Blair’s admission in his autobiography.
In A Journey, Blair declared that “foxhunting… resulted in one of the domestic legislative measures I most regret”.
Jill Grieve from the Alliance told H&H it was important that all hunt supporters had the “evidence at their fingertips”.
She added: “At this time of year, when the media is interested in hunting, we want members to be 100% able to condemn the Act and make the case for repeal to anyone who thinks it is a good idea.”
